Baby wearing is so common nowadays. Find out Why You Should Wear Your Baby Using Baby Slings.
Carrying a baby is not a new issue, babies like being cradled in your arms best it has happened since the old days, we saw a lot of pictures with women carrying their babies.
Today it is believed that baby carriers create closeness between the carrier and the infant, as well as improving their emotional relationship.
The only difference is that today we have so many kinds of carriers that it is difficult to decide which is the best and answer the question: Do you really need a baby carrier?
1. What are the Types of Carriers?
Most parents swear those baby carriers are a lifesaver, so you really can’t go wrong adding one to your registry. Baby carriers come in three styles:
Wraps: A super-long piece of stretchy fabric you configure and tie around your body, usually over your shoulders and around your mid-section, to create a carrier.
This is the most traditional and simple type of baby carrier (but not the easiest one, especially for babywearing beginners). A wrap is a long piece of fabric that you need to wrap around your body and your baby. You can wear your baby in a variety of positions: in front, on your hip or back; suitable for newborns, infants, and toddlers
Slings: A wide piece of fabric that goes over one shoulder and across your torso.
Baby sling was made to easily use and can be used for a long time even if the baby grows bigger
Ring Slings: A ring sling is a long piece of fabric with two rings at the end. By pulling the material through those rings, a pouch to support your baby is created.
To fasten the ring sling you need to thread the free end through one ring and then tuck it under the other ring. This way you can adjust it to your body and find the perfect snuggle for your baby. You don’t have to worry the sling will unfasten itself – baby’s weight prevents the rings from slipping.
Ring Sling creates a pouch for the baby, that comes from one shoulder to the opposite hip. It allows you to wear your baby in front of you or on your hip (most popular way).

2. Carriers for Newborns - Carriers for Toddlers
Newborns: These carriers are ready for your little one as soon as they are born, without the use of an extra infant insert. However, your baby will most likely outgrow these picks sometime between 12 and 15 months old, so think about how long you plan on carrying the baby when deciding on these. For newborns, ring slings and wraps are suitable and safe carriers as they let them curl up in the frog-position and provide the necessary neck support.
Ring slings are also newborn-ready.
You can use ring sling during breastfeeding to support the baby
Toddlers: Other carriers will work with your child from birth through the toddler stage. These often allow you to carry the baby in many versatile positions. To be used with newborns, however, these carriers usually require an infant insert. You can wear your baby in a variety of positions: in front, on your hip or back; suitable for newborns, infants, and toddlers
